E.B. Rabbit

Finally, I finished the portrait of my house rabbit, E.B.

I never wanted another house rabbit, but he came to us anyways.  My son had a guinea pig named Kitty.  (Don't ask why it was named Kitty, that is a whole other long story.)  Anyways, Kitty died one night, and the boy found him the next morning.  My son comes crying to me, holding a cold, rigger stiff, wet Kitty.  He is crying hysterically, as this is his first time losing a pet.  We talk, we snuggle, we cry as we bury Kitty.  The boy, convinces me to take him to the petstore.  While there he tells the sales lady his saga, and we all cry again.  She hands him this little fuzz-ball and wishes him a "Happy Easter" as Easter is the next weekend.  I can be hard, but I cannot be hard enough to tell her I do not want the adorable, baby rabbit and crush my son.   So, that is the story of E.B.  or Easter Bunny.  He ran my house for 7 years and chewed apart my books and stole cookies from friend and family alike.  We miss you E.B.
